Tiny Dancers...do you see them?

Am very happy with what I got out of the kiln this morning:

This is the majority of the larger pieces, I have all the beads to show yet!
Several pieces have sold already too, that just makes my day.

A few pieces didn't get hot enough and I should fire them again at some point.

I've been in front of this computer all day, so I think I'm going to call it quits for the night!  Good night, thanks for stopping by and take care!

Finally!

Got all the glazing and loading the kiln finished yesterday.  I am anxious as always to get this one fired.  Will work on that tomorrow and won't be able to open the kiln until Tuesday.

The weather was ugly hot today...how anyone can enjoy it is beyond me.  Sat outside while the dog was in the yard and it felt like I was cooking!  Terrible!!!  Maybe it's the medicine I take, but I cannot stand being too hot.  But it was a beautiful sunny day as long as I was inside under the AC...thank goodness for AC!

I have yet to plug in the new baby kiln.  Maybe I can do that Tuesday and get it ready to use.

I found the shell mold today that I've been thinking about and looking for for two days.  My mind finally remembered where I saw it last and sure enough, there it was.  Why does it take so long to remember where I put things?  My mom could put something away and years later know exactly where she put it!  Never learned that trick!

Rusty is in operation mode.  He is ready to have it over with.  He damaged his neck vertebrae who knows how long ago and next Monday the doc is going to remove the damaged bits.  We don't know yet if he will have to have a cage put in, I guess we will know after a while.  If you are a praying person, I would appreciate your prayers for him to  have a successful operation and a speedy and safe recovery.  We are not good patients, but I hope he will take care of himself and let his body heal properly.  He is already worried about the lawn...I can mow, I used to do it!  He is old school and doesn't not consider that "women's work".  On the other hand, I would rather do that than have to do dishes.  But he won't trade jobs with me!  Wonder why?

Well, thanks for stopping by...take care!

The Glazing Begins

Glazing has begun and I got one kiln shelf of things done today. Didn't even start on the little bitty things and we have to go get his tests done Friday, so it will be Monday before I can fire if then. I am thankful that everyone seems so patient with me!

The Last Two Days

The last two days I have been wet sanding.  Here is a glimpse of things to come!

This is the majority of the new things.  Lots of repeats, a lot of these are already spoken for, which is so nice!

Whacked and Smacked are yet to come.  Beads that I used an old Victorian button knife on.  This knife has been sitting in the vase where I hold all my clay tools, I finally got it out and whacked at the clay beads.  I think they are fun...we shall see how they do!

Making Beads Isn't Pretty!

Here is a look at my new stash of beads that I just made this morning...

I get muddy almost to my elbows...just like when I really cook--I get flour all over the house it seems!
Just glad that making beads is so much more fun!
Well, here's to another weekend.  Life is sure going by fast and I am having such a good time, goes hand in hand, right?

Thanks for stopping by, take care!

New Things...Again

Well, as I was filling the new orders today, I got another one.  How cool is that?  I am very happy to work on things I know folks want.  Hope they work out well...

Now to think of some new things to do.  I know I have to make more charms, those are selling quite well.

There is a new glaze working it's way to me starting today.  I can hardly wait!  It looks so beautiful and it's a Coyote glaze and so far I've had very good luck with them.  Whatever color they say they are...they are!  I've not had one fail me yet.  Glazes are so addictive, I have drawers full and still want more...bad habit, that...but at least this hobby is paying for itself!  That is something new for me and I feel so blessed!  Thank you to all my customers, you are making my dreams come true!

Thanks for stopping by, take care...

New Orders

Worked on some new orders today, and got another order before I got finished! It's good with me! Had to order some new glazes, one new glaze, three repeats. Just about ready to hook up my new baby kiln. We've made room for it, need to get it completely out of the box and hooked to the electric. It should be ready to go by the time the new glaze gets here. I am very excited about using it for the first time. What have you been doing? Thanks for stopping by, take care!

Gettin' Muddy

Oh it feels so good to get back in the mud! I have missed it these last few weeks! Hubby is out singing tonight, so me and the fur babies are here by ourselves. I tape and watch Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell and Jimmy just did the silliest and funniest skit. All about tight pants...you drinking my sake, kimosabe? So funny! Hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by, take care!

Revamping Etsy Store

Tomorrow, May 10th, I am revamping my Etsy store and change some of the pics and products.  I found out today most headers only want 3-7 beads in a set...I have as many as 10 in some of mine, so, I think I will revamp and make things a little more beader friendly.

Today is so nice, the weather this evening is under 70 and it's just delightful.

There are so many sick, heartbroken and just down and out.  Lord knows I've been there and we all have life ebbs and flows.  If you have a friend that needs a tender hug, a friendly smile, or just a kind word, be the person who gives it...You will be blessed!

Thanks for stopping by, take care!

5-8-12

If I ever say I want to paint another room, would you please kick me?  Please kick me!!!  We are finally done with the laundry room/bath room.  The clean up is mostly over and I am GLAD of it!
My new baby kiln got here last week and I have opened the box and cooed at it a time or two in passing.  Maybe tomorrow we can get it out of the box and get it in gear.  I am so ready to give it a try.
I have a couple of new orders...horses and hearts, two of my favorite things!  My Mended Heart story has touched another soul and that does my heart good--so good!  Thank You Lord!
Again, I must say, I had such fun doing the blog hop.  Want to do another sometime soon, maybe even a swap.  I need to learn how to initiate such things!

One Crayon Color Challenge BlogHop

This is the first time I've attempted one of these blog hops.  I am probably doing it all wrong...but here goes.

I picked the color purple...it is my favorite if there is such a thing.  This is a lavender color purple on two different types of clay.  There is not much difference in the glaze, but it shows up a bit different on the white clay and the speckled clay.

I would love it if you would add me to your list of blogs!
