Memories and Thanks Blog Hop

I hate to complain but may I preface this by saying I've been sick the last two weeks...please forgive me for not having this quite up to par.

The necklace I made reminds me of my Mom.  She is the subject of my Memories and Thanks blog.  I have wonderful memories of my Mom and like everyone else, sad ones as well.  But this one is for all the happy ones...

My mom taught me a lot when I was a kid that I couldn't wait to get away from when I got older, but the joke is on me, because the older I get, the more like her I become.  And I know now that is not a bad thing.  One thing was recycling and not throwing things away that you could possibly use in the future!  She tended to hoard, she was not a hoarder like we know them today, but she didn't throw much away that wasn't trash!  So the beige beads in this set, are beads that I recycled from a necklace I bought from a yard sale.  Mom would like that.  The rectangle beads are new and for the life of me, I cannot remember what they are!  Sorry about that!

Here is the necklace set that I made last year, but it reminds me of my mom...soft and sweet, pink and tan, and to me, beautiful, even if I say so myself.  I love you Mom, think of you so often and know I will see you again.  Much love!

  3. Is there a gifted and creative person who does not give all credit to their amazing mom for what she passed on to you? Your mom, where she is now, other than in your heart would be so proud of you and your creations.
