Fort New Salem, WV

This little log building was where I spent my day yesterday, 4-27-13, at Fort New Salem, WV, selling my wares.  It is being used for a Tin Smith shop.

Here are some of the tools inside the room, look at the hooks toward the ceiling.

The location has several old log buildings that locals use to set up for different celebrations throughout the year.  I will probably go again later on this year.

Here are a few other vendors set up yesterday.

Another building and the brick walkway.

A handmade chimney...stacked rocks, some look like cut out sandstone, just a guess on my part.

It was a beautiful day, sunny but cool, perfect weather.  Nice folks coming by and even several sales.  A very nice day.

thanks for stopping by, take care.

Trying New Things

I have a set up next weekend at a college and I am making jewelry and trying to get things together.  I will take pictures and share after I get back.
What to do, what to take?  Earrings for sure, a few bracelet sets, maybe a necklace or two.  Exciting!  My eye doctor had me invited, how about that!

New Things 4-7-13

New things from the kiln yesterday morning.  Some of these things are spoken for, some I'm planning on keeping to make some earring sets and whatnots for shows this year.

thanks for stopping by, take care.

This little octopus was made earlier this year or late last year and I wanted them to be published, but I never heard from anyone, so here they are.  I think they are really sweet.  Let me know what you think!
They were made from white stoneware clay and are two inches across.  Made for a cuff, but I could make them straight for a pendant if necessary.  There are three of them listed in my Etsy store.

Thanks for stopping by, take care!
